Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney invest in Mexican football club after Wrexham takeover

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have invested in a Mexican football club after buying Wrexham AFC in November 2020.

The pair now have a stake in Club Necaxa, a 100-year-old club in the city of Aguascalientes, as reported by Variety.

They join Eva Longoria and other investors Al Tylis and Sam Porter to grow the football team's profile.

Longoria brought Reynolds and McElhenney into the group, Variety understands.

Justin Verlander and his wife, Kate Upton, and Odell Beckham Jr are also minority owners of the Mexican club.
